It's really nice of you to share this awesome model for free. I was hoping to rig him up but he's currently posed, did you ever have him in a t-pose or did you model him in this pose?

I made the model so long ago , it was hard to render him . I dont even think about riging and animating. I presently dont use autocad.
But I got idea to make something like this => [link] .

I kinda figured that you wouldn't have a t-posed model of it, though that second concept would be pretty cool to see, if you do make it I would love to hear about it!

Tell me, is making robots with CGI easier than making people/animals in CGI? I would imagine it would be, since they're made of hard, solid parts instead of flesh and hair. But what do you think?

... depend what soft you`ll use for modeling and rendering
=> for organic - Zbrush , Mudbox or 3DstudioMax
=> for mech stuff - Rhino or AutoCAD
=> for rendering Vray is faster , but Final Render got the best memory management ...

i honestly think a clean white render would do this the most justice. the reflections just distract from the real geometry making the shapes hard to make out. give this guy a good light source and give him a white mat and i think this would be awesome

a little too reflective for my taste (im a fan of clean white renders) but a simply amazing job of engineering everything together!
