something totally different to show what you guys i've been slaving over the past couple of days xDthis is my boyfriend's commission (roughly $28 USD if converted, he suggested the price) for his book cover. since he's a creative writing student his thesis is to publish a chapbook, and you can probably imagine what his short stories are about...
anyway now i'm free to draw more shit, so probably in a while i may start on commissions. still gotta cram thesis though = 3 =

This looks pretty good. I personally would have reduced the blur on the commander's body and gone for full vexel style. I like the composition, the red sky and scorched earth is very evocative.
Also historically carrying the standard and leading the legions were two entirely separate duties given to different people. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

really?? lol that's cool. and tbh everything is blurred out of sheer laziness--i didn't have a lot of time to do this piece so stuff was blendered in together so that it doesn't stick out too much xD and yeah, he asked specifically for the eagle for i guess extra emphasis?? but i'm aware of their duties being separate c:
