He has no personality, no character, he's just a stitched-together collage of boyfriend tropes. You could completely write him out of the movie and it wouldn't change anything (the scene where he reveals the photos of Twilight were fake could've been ABSOLUTELY ANYONE). I may really like Equestria Girls, but Flash is just such an unbelievably unnecessary character; Sunset isn't a GREAT antagonist, not on par with Discord or Chrysalis, but she's at least driven, has some character, and is interesting (plus, it doesn't hurt that she's really, REALLY hot).

I think you mean 'entitled to my own opinion' but I stand by it. I'm still against the whole alicorn Twilight thing; the only thing more controversial would be making Nyx canon (which would be awesome, but I'm not denying there won't be some people bitching).

Read Past Sins (if you haven't already) and form your own opinion on the character. I'm honestly a huge fan of Nyx, but for some reason there's a massive hatedom (even bigger than Gilda, Diamond Tiara, another character I kinda like a little, and Twist for some reason)
