Had some time to sink into a painting, finally, rather than the 1-2 hours I've had recently. I'd say this was probably around 10 hours? I spent way too long fiddling around with details.I've finally done one picture of each of the mane 6. It only took me almost a year! (I am not a fast artist)

Oh by all means! I know several things I'm not happy with - the posing of AB's figure, the mountains (the one in the middle is distracting), the tree... But go ahead!

Well, the mountains are very well rendered, if somewhat unusually shaped, but they lack a sense of distance. It looks more like they're a collection of sharp stones set around a tiny hill. You could use a definite horizon line, or at least scenery set between the hill and the mountains. Also, the way they part just around Applebloom and Applejack seems too convenient, like it's a hole in a rock fence they're peeking through. That's just off the top of my head, I'd need to polish my own studies before I give you a more involved critique.

I tried way late in the painting to add some mountains behind their heads when I realized how wacky it was, but it just wasn't happening. This was definitely new for me, and I plan on doing many more landscapes! I always struggle with making landscapes/horizons look organic and have the proper distance to them. Thank you for the input
