Description

Hey, it's progressing! Yay!

Here's shown all the included stuff with the available material options (the mags have 4 for diversity). The guns (named as Carbine 4A1 & Rifle 16A3) are rigged with following moving parts: Sling link in front, trigger, dust cover, bolt carrier, fire selector, carry handle & rear sight, charging handle, magazine and buttstock for the M4.

Not an awful lot to do anymore, so it's getting there

You’re welcome and I know what you mean. Finishing a project makes one feel like a million bucks.

Thanks Have to admit, this was a pretty tough one. Not the guns (I had good references), but the accessories really gave me a headache!

No doubt! Your stuff is always so complex and amazingly detailed that I don't have patience for half of that!

Well, with this kind of project it's quite easy, to be honest. With good references I don't have to come up with the details by myself. I just need to "copy" what's there (though, I didn't have good references for all of the models...). Also, by doing things piece by piece it's easy to go even overboard with the details, when I can concentrate on only one part at a time and not worry about the big picture (which was a bit of a problem here, because eventually I had to manually remove 50k+ polygons all together to keep the models somewhat reasonable).

I think I know what you mean.
I modeled a rifle once myself and had no good references, so I had to start guessing.
And yes, the dreaded fight against the polygon count... I hate that!
And I am horrible at keeping my own meshes on track, so I admire everybody who can do it!
