Hehe, you lucky man. I've got my own collection, too. The only difference is that I don't own any US/JAP versions, only UE.

ah ok. it's cool i want one!
and the Falcon/Phoenix things??? where do you get that?
but if it's a gamecube CD,does it work in the gamecube anyway?

PortableNetworkGraph In reply to teamspike3 [2012-01-23 22:38:41 +0000 UTC]

the falcon/phonix thing is a license card, you put it into a f zero ax machine and it will unlock special things on your gx save aswell as you could enter the world wide competition with it

at the f zero gx launch in japan, every copy had a licence card inside, i got mine in the 2nd japanse version i got, the person from who i bought the 1st must have taken it out

the ax disc is not a standart gamecube disc, i have no other information about the triforce disc but i know they wont work on a [modded] gamecube

gamecube disc's are compressed on a very unusual way, there is specific data on the disc wich tells the laser where to go, after the laser has seen the required data it will proceed and launch the game

there is no way you can make disc's like that your self and iam 100% sure the f zero ax disc does not have ''that specific data''

putting it in a modded gamecube however could result the disc to be read

modded gamecubes wich can read backups will skip the entire data check action and immidiently launch the game

it could be possible to launch ax on a modded gamecube but then you will have problems with the input

to play ax you have to insert coins............. there is no coins inserter machine on a gamecube....... so farther than the title screen wont you go

i aslo know that when you turn on the ax machine, it will first proceed to an options menu, from there you have to launch the game, this is something you cant do on a gamecube cause it uses different commands, however if you use an action replay to skip that, you might be able to play the game

its pretty weird actually, i guess you have no idea wath i just all said
ill just have to wait and buy an ax amchine myself, than ill go on with the research

teamspike3 In reply to PortableNetworkGraph [2012-01-23 22:50:16 +0000 UTC]

yes i understand what you said.
but the menu is different i think.
but what it unlock it's possible to unlock it in the game witeout this???
me i think i unlock all with my action replay. i think the game it's almost the same as GX. but where can you buy an f-zero AX arcade??? in Canada,f-zero ax does'nt exist.
you're very lucky to have this.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

PortableNetworkGraph In reply to teamspike3 [2012-01-24 15:47:27 +0000 UTC]

yes, the menu's are very different, you can only choose GP and time attack [and multiplayer if availeble]

if you play with a licence card AND a memorycard, you can unlock more tickets and more parts, if you take your japanese launch licence card to a selected japanese f zero ax machine, you can unlock the japanese evenet excelusif parts [the gold parts]

but you can aslo unlock those with action replay

of course there are ax machines in canada

the hard thing is finding one, and then going to it might be a problem too, canada is huge, i am pretty lucky cause my country is pretty small, but still i had to travel for more than 2 houres to get to the arcade

but i live in canada/quebec.
in quebec it have nothing...
but if you buy f-zero ax arcade (by miracle) each time you want to play, you put money? XD

PortableNetworkGraph In reply to teamspike3 [2012-01-26 10:12:18 +0000 UTC]

yea, you probebly have to insert coins to play, but if you manage to own one, you can just get the money you put in out

I see a very sad lack of an SNES cartridge (don't worry, I don't have an original either, just VC... I do have an SNES now, though...)

thats why i noted that in the description xD

Nice. This reminds me that I got the original F-Zero game as a gift this past Christmas from a cousin of mine. The cartridge was still in the box too, which was nice. I normally played the original on an emulator but now that I own the actual cartridge, I can now honestly say that I own all of the F-Zero games that were released in the U.S. including the gba games. Now if only I had Climax or the F-Zero X expansion kit.

KaizokuShojo [2012-01-22 06:12:23 +0000 UTC]

Oh, and, just so you know, エフゼロ ジーエックス romanises directly to "efuzero ji-ekkusu." That's pronounced roughly "F-zehro G-X," so you really only have to say it's the Japanese F-Zero GX. XD

PortableNetworkGraph In reply to KaizokuShojo [2012-01-22 11:28:19 +0000 UTC]

i know about the japanse things, in japan, the full title for f zero gx is: F-Zero GX エフゼロ ジーエックス, i didnt see the point of putting in a incomplete name ._.

How were the GBA games?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

PortableNetworkGraph In reply to KaizokuShojo [2012-01-22 11:30:16 +0000 UTC]

pretty cool, but f zero is nothing for a handheld console, hate me for it, but i expected more of te ba games, gp legend is good and MV is more like the origional, but they be better if they where on a home console

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

KaizokuShojo In reply to PortableNetworkGraph [2012-01-24 00:03:42 +0000 UTC]

I remember some years back I thought about getting it to play on my Game Boy Player, but worried it'd be a lot less fun/interesting/responsive than just playing GX...

I wish they would make an F-Zero for the Wii already....

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

PortableNetworkGraph In reply to KaizokuShojo [2012-01-24 15:43:15 +0000 UTC]

in that case, you'd better be buying GX...

the GBA f zero games are unplayable on the GBA player, the gc controller is not propriate for it

if you have a hori gc pad however, it should be fine [hori gc pad is a gamecube controller shaped like a SNES controller, its very usefull for the GBA player]

Beau-Skunk [2012-01-22 04:14:07 +0000 UTC]

They had a PC version? Seriously? Was it an official one? (As in approved by Nintendo/Sega/Amusement Vision.)

No SuperNES F-Zero? That was the first one I played as a kid, and loved it.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

PortableNetworkGraph In reply to Beau-Skunk [2012-01-22 11:33:30 +0000 UTC]

PC is just 'players choice', titles wich sold more than 100000 would be reproducted for half thhe price, you can reconize them on the silver boxes [for gamecube and some N64]

yes, no super nintendo, i dont even have a SNES, but i might consider myself buying one for metroid and f zero

Beau-Skunk In reply to PortableNetworkGraph [2012-01-22 22:00:30 +0000 UTC]

Ahhh, I see. I thought you ment "Personal Computer." lol

The SNES game is pretty good. If you have a Wii, you can just get the Virtual Console version. (Unless you want a tangible version.)

PortableNetworkGraph In reply to Beau-Skunk [2012-01-23 16:04:23 +0000 UTC]

once a day i will be buying a snes with f zero and metroid
i dont get it for virtual console, i played the real thing and i prefer to do that instead of having it on my wii wich seems to be half dead

too bad te arcade holder wasnt going to sell the disc alone, i had to buy the machine aswell, but he was nice enough to give me a cloned disc

BomKosh In reply to PortableNetworkGraph [2012-01-22 15:36:53 +0000 UTC]

Well I was looking for an F-Zero AX rom when I sorta realized something. Hate to ask, but did you distribute an iso (or whatever file) of that game? I've heard that future revisions of MAME will play Triforce roms.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

PortableNetworkGraph In reply to BomKosh [2012-01-22 16:14:25 +0000 UTC]

no, as the discription says: its useless
the arcade holder simpely cloned the disc, but there is no way i can figure out how to get the file of the disc, no software out tere can read whats on te disc
but iam 100% there is something on it, when i look at the bottom of the dvd i can see there is some space used

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

BomKosh In reply to PortableNetworkGraph [2012-01-22 16:31:13 +0000 UTC]

PortableNetworkGraph In reply to BomKosh [2012-01-22 17:55:45 +0000 UTC]

i cant, none of the software i used could anything on the disc, all software says the disc is empty or damaged
