Description For those of you who have been helping us try to get Madeline back from her pixie kidnapping and who have been concerned about her, we both appreciate your support during that most difficult of times and are pleased to say she's returned home mostly no worse for wear. Well, "mostly" might overstate it. She returned with a few cuts on her face which everyone hopes won't turn into scars, although they have the look of them to my untrained eye. But more significantly, she's seems to be quite upset by whatever happened.

I'm not withholding what happened after the pixies pirate dirigible encountered the space craft for any reason other than I don't know. Shortly after our last photo was taken, the Time Transmographier Viewer stopped working. We don't know if it was interference from the space craft, pixie magic, or just a malfunction. But we were left without knowledge just as Madeline headed into what appeared to be a battle with insurmountable odds. After twelve hours, I sent everybody home but Skye and Ryan, and we took shifts waiting for some change, some small hope that Madeline might be alive. Three days later, she emerged from the Time Transmographier, dressed as she was before the pixies took her. Other than the aforementioned cuts, there was no sign of trauma, and she claimed no memories of the event.

Several days later, I suggested a photoshoot to get her out of the house. Something simple and fun. Tragically, in the middle of it, Madeline begged off. "I"m sorry. I just can't. My whole life…I'm sorry." Then she left the studio without another word.

—————
Daz was back in action—she arranged the set, handled the wardrobe…pretty much did it all except pose and shoot. Iray handled the lights. Photoshop and NIK, Jr. took care of developing and processing the negatives.

She's working thought some tough times with a therapist. Of course, when you can't tell your therapist about the worst thing that happened to you because they won't believe you ("Doctor, I was abducted by pixies and forced to fight aliens"), it might not be fully effective. I've got hope for her, though!

LOL, if I ever go to a therapist I may try that. *wink*  Just for pure satisfaction on reaction.

Great to know that Madeline is back and I do hope that she will recover from the trauma very soon... Very nice portrait work here and I really like what you did with Madeline's expression!

Thanks. It's going to be hard for her—so much drama in the last year! But she's a touch and resilient woman

I was dreading that this used Ozone, it looks that good.  The fact that it didn't gives me hope for my own work.

Thanks! There's a fair amount of postwork involving NIK Tools (free), but otherwise, it's Mei Lin 7 skin (with some modifications to make the skin darker, but otherwise stock) with 4 lights and a shallow depth of field. If you're using Daz figures, I strongly suggest Peach Fuzz (from Daz). It's relatively subtle, but I think adds a huge amount to believability.
