With their super piratey cruiser destroyed and a cubic ton of marauders hot in pursuit, the world's favorite space pirates need a new car. Perhaps sending Ryan to get one wasn't Pirate-in-Chief Madeline's best call. Or maybe it's just the curse of the Santa hat worn off-season on a planet without any notion of Navidad, feliz or otherwise.

Almost all of the space pirate crew turned up for this shot: Isobel wore her favorite outfit, saying it was, well, I can't use that language and keep the mature tag at bay. Something about the heat on the desert planet HDRMaps scouted for us being unsuited for full armor. Ryan—and this will shock everyone—volunteered to wear something that covered her breasts. Madeline decided on adding the skirt, Santa hat, and to bring Little Madeline's bear. "Oh, you know you love it. Just roll with it." (then she winked at me. Swoon!) Crackers didn't speak and I was pretty sure she was going to shoot the stunt drivers pretending to be mauraders. But rest easy, no digital pirates or marauders were hurt during this shoot.

Daz arranged things, found the weapons, listened to Ryan's suggestion for the get-away car, etc. Iray handling the lighting, despite the overbearing sun. Photoshop did a cubic ton of work to get a whole bunch of negatives to line up. Iray decided to render all of this out in parts so we could go big (see the download!), and it took Photoshop hours to pull it all together. She got arty and added some dust and other things, too, that Daz left out during prop prep. Then we handed it off to NIK, Jr. for color toning and final effects. No lengthy bathroom break for NIK, Jr. this time. I think he was disappointed in Ryan's wardrobe choice.
