Tokoween 2023 - Chasing Legends [OPEN]The story so far: Until recently, Sikatou was thought to be a volcanic island, a wasteland devoid of any sizable life. When a handful of daytrippers found their yacht blown off course by sudden winter storms, they discovered a mysterious form on the volcano’s peak, leading to a rapid expedition unearthing the discovery of an exotic cavern beneath the volcano, ruled over by the 100% Dire, Artemis 63319, and her group of hunters. During Tokotines, you explored the Mushroom Forest and documented the Gryphons living there, all while attempting to gain the trust of Artemis 63319. The Festival of Flowers brought time to venture onwards towards the Crystal Woods and the flighty Unicorns found there. Over New Year's overenthusiastic visitors hunting for 100% puppies which may or may not exist in the Lava Falls stirred up the Drakes who live there, resulting in widespread fires and a very grumpy Artemis. Investigations of the Perytons living in the Cavern Heights went rather better. Unfortunately that streak of luck doesn’t seem to have held.,This time Artemis isn’t shouting. That almost makes things worse.“Maxiilamits have been spotted. They hadn’t been seen in Sikatou for over a decade. Not until you lot came along. So I’m not going to bother asking who found an ancient tome and decided to treat it as an instruction manual, or moved some glowing orbs around until they suddenly clicked into place and revealed something locked away in a vault. Not least of which because you’d all lie.“No, I’m just going to ask you all to fix it. Now. Go to the ruins, see what you can find there. If there’s any way to lock them away again, do it.”It’s not hard to find reports of the Maxiilamits. They are hideous creatures, whose mouths are large enough to swallow all but the largest Tokotas in a single gulp. And make no mistake - even larger prey is still no match for the crushing strength of those jaws.The Ruins that they stalk are indications that at some point, Sikatou was home to more than just Artemis and her band of hunters. The buildings are little more than the remnants of walls at this point, but earth and moss have covered some areas which might be more intact. It would be possible to investigate further, if it wasn’t for the Maxiilamits roaming the area.What do I have to do?Draw one of your Tokotas in Sikatou alongside a Maxiilamit. RulesAll entries must take place in Sikatou’s cavern! The cavern is huge, with blue glowing fungi and a shaft of light from above replacing the sky (there is a day/night cycle, though it’s unclear how). It contains fantastic environments, such as a giant mushroom forest, lava falls, a glacier next to tropical trees and anything else exotic you can think of. The Tokopedia Region Page has descriptions for the currently available canon locations.Literature must follow the Universal Lit Requirements . Any nicknames you want to count towards mentions must be listed. The Maxiilamit(s) should each be mentioned 7 times (e.g. for a 2 player lit collab, there should be 14 total mentions of perytons if you don’t have identifiable individuals, or 7 for each individual).Artwork must follow the Universal Art Requirements - it must be showing each Tokota and the Maxiilamit 75% or more, with a semi-complex background.These pieces can NOT be rolled for any other area of the group.You must link to the Tokotna import for all Tokotas featured.Up to (3) people may collaborate on a single entry - each person must depict at least one of their Tokotas as well as one Maxiilamit each!Each collaborator must comment on the thread to be counted for the raffles!
