Adventure PromptWorld Tour - First Outpost [Maquraq]Welcome to the Jungle! The call to adventure brings you back to the ever-faithful S.S. Awoo. As you board, you notice only five of the Faction Leaders are with you. Rumors circulate that Raquel left a week ahead of schedule, after receiving news from the next region. The air clears, as old Ravarri and the steam that covers the land of Alurik fade into the distance. You set your eyes on the horizon, eager to catch sight of the next destination. It takes days, but finally a massive wall of green appears and grows larger as you draw close.Maquraq, a land of dense jungle, as large as Taniya and even more mysterious. Some cities rise from the trees, even as ruins lay tangled under the millennia old roots. You feel the eagerness to explore as the ship draws closer to the coast line.Your eyes catch sight of a waterfall, tumbling off a series of cliffs many times higher than the tallest buildings in Tyonek. You remember stories of a great waterfall, and turn to ask your travelling companions if this is the famed Yrvaq Falls.Metzli laughs kindly and shakes her head. “Those falls aren’t tall enough to be Yrvaq. They are much further to the south. We’ll see them soon.” You gaze back at the ‘small’ falls with wide eyes, this place will be full of surprises. Adventure PromptMaquraq, the land of endless trees. The entire region is covered in a dense green canopy with the odd structure sticking out every now and then. You’ve been told that there are cities here but all of them are a trek through the jungle to get to. The only open sky you’ll find is near the waterfalls in the south, but your destination is the First Outpost about 20 miles inland from the docks. There you should find the explorer’s guilds and possibly Raquel. Metzli asked you to go look for her girlfriend while she organizes the supplies coming off the S.S Awoo. As much as she wants to find out why the Pack Leader left in a rush there is work she can’t ignore. Which means you are one of the first heading out for the jungle proper. ,As First Outpost comes into view you can see hundreds of mismatched building strung together along the edge of the trees. But before you can enter a friendly voice calls to you and a man steps in the way with a wave. “Excuse me, can you spare a few minutes? My name is Guy Leloup and I’m in need of some help.” He pauses long enough to see if you’ll stop before continuing, “You’re one of the adventurers traveling with Raquel’s party right? That must mean you are uniquely experienced to help me find a special missing Tokota.” He looks sheepishly at you as he explains that a special Tokota named Ed has gone missing at his Base Camp in the Maquraq Jungle. The situation is a little strange and outside of his area of expertise so he’s asking various travelers for help. He’d heard that Raquel arrived a week ago and more of her companions would be arriving so he’s beseeching you to travel with him to the camp and help find Ed.
