Description
Taken in Birkenau, Poland. How many signs can you see in this picture?
During the Second World War there was a concentration camp. Nazis killed there an enormous number of people - Jewish, Polish and many others. Now there're two museums: Birkenau and Auschwitz. One of the most touching places I've ever seen. Everyone should visit it at least once.

Regardless, nice photos.

Very nicely taken, the photograph - with the dark tones and all.
I've been there... Not in Birkenau, but in Auschwitz I. It was so impressive and ... I don't know... sad. Just thinking of what humans are capable of...

really?
I'm not sure about my own family, but I feel so very sad anyway. I've always been drawn to that part of history... Ever since I read Anne Frank's diary..

yeah, I was in Auschwitz museum with my grandma once and there's a book with all the names of people who died there and there are two or more members of my grandma's family. for her it was such an emotional experience when she saw the names...

Ahh that is so sad.
I broke down there, because I suspected something in my own family happened, too... But I think I was wrong. Over-emotional and everything... (I definitely was emotional)

Yes, I suppose you. But I've broken down over the holocaust long before I even KNEW I was going to visit Auschwitz...
