Description Its past 12 and I can't sleep so I decided to upload this instead of fighting to get to bed. Late night submissions, whoo! 8D

Its better than waiting until after work tomorrow to upload it I guess. D:

Anyway out of sheer boredom this weekend I looked for an old film I watched a lot as a kid; Fluke. I loved this movie more than any other, I think its a much better "dog movie" than Balto or Air Bud could have ever been. This movie had some real fucking meaning to it. Of course I didn't recognize that as a kid but now I completely respect the message behind this movie. I also seemed to have forgotten just how much this movie made me cry, I went through almost a whole box of tissues OTL ;w;
The animal training done in this movie was marvelous too, extremely well done. I just love how the dog looks at the wife and kid with such a look of true love; simply amazing.

I sketched this out even before the movie ended, this scene always sticks in my head for some reason so I just had to draw it. Its near the end of the movie when Fluke finds his kid by the grave where he was buried as a human but ultimately leaves his family to live their lives happily.
The background's kind of sucky but the main focus is the dog here. I love that dog, its fur is such a beautiful deep red.

If you've never seen this movie or heard of it I suggest you take a look. Part 1: [link]

Enjoy~

well I just spent my whole afternoon watching this movie instead of writing an essay
TIME WELL SPENT
not even joking.

Dude, you're so right, the animal training was PERFECT. The whole time I was like "h-how did they do this?!" cause lord knows nowadays dog-movies can accomplish anything remotely close to that. This movie, plus Shiloh, Napoleon, and Milo & Otis, and Homeward Bound, are some of my favorite animal movies /evar/. Why can't they go back to /not/ CG-ing everything?!

Anyway, lovely pic, especially the blurry snow <33 That cemetery scene was damn precious and you captured it gracefully. Also love Fluke's expression~

Srsly
Old childhood Movies > homework
All day erry day.

I know right, I find it disgusting that they feel the need to CG everything instead of ACTUALLY PUTTING WORK IN TRAINING THE ANIMALS. Besides I like "the whole mind thingie" (as Rumbo put it) better than dogs actually moving their mouths to speak. Oh god all those movies were favorites of mine, AND /STILL/ ARE. I remember I used to always rent Fluke or Napolean as a kid. X3 Milo & Otis also.

Thank you <33 c:
