Near-infrared as opposed to Far-infrared.

The Hoya R72 and similar filters (~720nm) allow a little bit of deep red visible light through, as well as light from the infrared spectrum. These are near-infrared filters.

I believe far-infrared can be used for thermal imaging etc.

nice and simple composition is well done. Actually nothing bad to say. Colors are like bit "stormy".. which fits good with such calm pic..
