This was done for We-Dream-of-Stars 's group challenge event, with the prompt of: the sky! Which I still find really difficult to draw. It was good practice. :>

You really outdid yourself with this one. I love how you handled the pose, his expression and wings. A lot of this isn't always easy to draw, but you really nailed it here. The sky is so vibrant and I like that you gave the tips of his hair a bit of transparency as it would be in real life. This piece is so cool and I love this character so much!! Great job!

Aw, thanks. I can relate so much to the struggle with vibrant colors, but I think the ones you used here are perfect! Even though the character and background are both vibrant, there isn’t an overload of different hues and he stands out enough thanks to his warm colors on the cool background.

OOoh you won't believe how flashed I was when I saw this piece for the first time - it is SO beautiful, I LOVE it. It bears such a realistic and classical vibe.
Those clouds are SO incredibly well done. And your brush work is so stunning because it unifies both, the character and the background - and it is so incredible how light-hearted your brush work appears. That is such a valuable thing because it influences so much how the painting comes across.
And it is so beautiful that the clouds trace his "elongation"? (I hope it's the right choice of words, hahaha I am so, so, so sorry if my expression is incomprehensible)
(anyway - this is such a nice challenge and such a beautiful piece of art!! )

Those clouds are brilliant, and the slight blue hints on the character tie him into the background really well. The way the arms and wings are spread out frames and directs focus to his face nicely, as well. This is really awesome!
