Description
When Snow left her hometown she wondered Equestria for a while. Still learning to use her magic she searched for a new place to call home. Nothing seemed right. She missed her friends and family. Until she found this Stallion. A cocky, self confident Pegasus that both irritated her and made her melt. She realised that home was not a place in the world. It was a feeling. You had such an adorable character design! I'm sorry a braided mullet on a snowflake Pony was all it took to turn people mental, even if characteristics were inspired by Elsa. You never tried to hide it, and I think what came of it was really beautiful.

They are fan ponies, they were based off of Elsa's (and possibly Jack's) design, but they aren't just copies of Elsa and Jack

Um, they kind of are just them as ponies....but with different histories I guess. The designs aren't "based" off of the characters, they were just put onto a pony.

Yes their designs are based off of Elsa and Jack, but that doesn't instantly make them "copies" of the two. Snow Spell has a completely different backstory and life than Elsa does, and the same goes for Frozen, so the only thing that they share with Elsa and Jack is the design and the ability to conjure ice, but if you think about it, other ponies can probably do that as well, even a Pegasus with a unique speed trail. They are called "fan characters" for a reason. They were meant to look like Elsa and Jack, but not to be exactly like them. So their designs look like them, but they are not just "Elsa and Jack as ponies."

So basically you took Elsa and Jack, made them into ponies, and gave them an AU backstory and names.

Kind of. As was said, they are both fan ponies, they are meant to resemble Jack and Elsa, for example, Jack's sweatshirt and Elsa's hair. It's not exactly an "AU backstory," however. Usually with an AU, or at least from what I've seen, the characters themselves don't change. That's not Elsa and Jack, those are two completely different ponies.

Alright, whatever you say. I'm just saying that you should probably make them look less like your "inspiration" and more like an OC character. They look simply ponified, and your defense against that is really, really thin.

B: There are a lot of unique things about both of these characters that make them very different from most of the general ponified Elsa and Jack ponies. They literally are called fan ponies, they are SUPPOSED to resemble what they are based on. I've seen a lot of just ponified Elsa and Jacks, these two are not like the those types, they have their own special designs, and the only thing that is the same about Jack and Frozen is the sweatshirt, for Elsa and Snow, it's the hair. Snow isn't a queen in this world. They both have the ability to create ice and snow, but that's because Snow is literally an ice pony, her hooves are made of ice. It's not like Nikol gave Frozen the same exact staff Jack uses, and Snowspell doesn't have the crown Elsa does because she isn't royalty.
To me, they are plenty enough unique to be qualified as an OC character.

sorry for meddling. I agree with you in your argument. It's supposed to be a make shift look alike but it's own character. It's once again, INSPIRED and not an AU or copy.
