Description This is for the Mythology Contest by =uchuubranko  and  :eindraa

It was such an honor that pro uchuu-sama even thought of letting me know about such a great contest.

This contest looked really interesting so I decided to give it a try;;; It's actually fun to draw and I'm glad I joined even if I dont win Q v Q


I realized I wanted to do this contest 3 days before it ended

I can't believe I actually made it ALKSDJASHDIUASHDASD I would always procrastinate on drawings


It was a pretty big risk for me to try to draw a landscape nicely in one try.... This is the first time I ever tried drawing any living thing that is green..... But I did it and it looks decent enough


The picture probably described everything the contest need to know;;; but if anyone has trouble finding out what I drew.... it's Pisces u v u


The story of how Pisces became a star was that Aphrodite and her son Eros disguised as fishes to hide from Typhon .... so yeah~~ the picture * Q *

It's been a while guys!!! I'm trying to be as active as possible and it seems like it's not working!! * 7 *

But still, I go on everyday to check my messages. I procrastinate on art a lot so you wont see it til winter break

My style is getting uglier and uglier by day... I need to stop worsening

agsdhvgds I'm so sorry for my lateness , here's the critique OTL

I must say I absolutely loved this piece, the colours and idea is really amazing and well executed!!
The details on the ground, grass, and hair are superb! Also tiny details like the entrance into the forest add up very nicely! The distant starry sky is a delight, like seriously da colourssss <33
The perspective is a bit off in the piece, the ground and water subjects don't match well distance-wise. It looks like Aphrodite is heading forwards or hiding there as a giant. The shading on their clothes is superbly done, and the fish really tell the story beautifully! The water could use a bit of more detail, and since it's a river, maybe making the flow direction more clear would be a good idea! The blue, greens, and yellows are really well mixed together in the upper part! Some light source for the river would fit awesomely since you have the gorgeous yellow tones! The tree tones are beautiful but could use some more varied shapes besides the ||||||||||| lines! Some inspiring forests >> scienceblogs.com/startswithaba… (please allow me to cannoteven )

The dark shadows on the grass are deep enough, but I can see the brush shapes (or blur tool shapes?) very clearly. Doing the shadows on the same layer could make it look more painterly and it's tons of fun as well! You have several tones within the grass, so adding one more and blending it to fit would look awesome

Lastly, the square format rarely presents an artwork as good as a rectangle format would - adding a bit of more space onto the left, for example, would bring more forest and island/ground in vision and help me focus more on the subjects from water.

I just...... I don't know anymore...... Just everything from the mom and son, to the guy on the surface...   You need to teach me your ways because this is just amazing.    I don't understand how I can just draw stick figures and faces. That's about all I do. I just wonder how you got that talented. I need to start taking art classes or something.

This is so gloriouuuus! There are so many fine details (and you managed to not over do it, which I applaud you for.) and the way you paint water is so realistic and phenomenal! I don't really know if there's a story behind this, but if there was I'd definitely read through it. xD Eternally jealous of how you paint grass and skies and basically everything, actually. I hope you do well in that contest of yours, and I also hope that you keep up the good work!
