Where do I begin?

First off, Vader has raw power in the Force backing him up, even in his weakened state. Doom knows a lot of spells, but Vader has more in terms of raw power. It's like pitting a martial arts master against the Hulk or the Thing. Doom might know more spells, but Vader can brush them all aside, making him invulnerable to any of Doom's attacks. So no, he can choke the shit out of Doom and pierce through his defenses based on power alone. He's the Star Wars equivalent of the Dragonborn from Skyrim. Doom was a man who learned how to use magic, while Vader was born with power and was oozing with it since birth-hence the martial artist vs. Hulk comparison. Vader would be like the Hulk in terms of powers, while Doom would be like the martial arts master who knows many techniques. But for all his techniques, he wont be able to land a hit on the spiritual monster that is Vader. In the Rebels show, his mere presence ON THE PLANET causes people who have an affinity to the Force to get shivers down their spine. The only version of Anakin that would be vulnerable to magic would be the Palawan version, maybe the Jedi Knight version. After he starts to drench himself in the Dark Side, he cuts through magic and sorcery as if they were nothing.

Vader could have been a technological genius, if he didn't live in a future that made technological genius moot. Doom in the Marvel Earth seems godlike with his technical knowledge, but in the SW universe, he'd be lucky if he is seen as an above-average genius. Dimensional travel and time travel are the only things lacking in SW, and that's more because of narrative preferences.

As for Doom's armor repelling a Lightsaber, really? Thanos and Silver Surfer are quite inconsistent with power levels. One minute, they're like the SSJ of the Marvelverse, the next, they get swept aside like chumps. Can Doom's armor repel 64,000 GW of particle energy? 300 million GW of particle energy? 200 gigatons of particle energy? That's how much energy star fighter lasers, light ship cannons, and heavy turbo lasers generate respectively. SW ship armor can withstand one shot from all of them, yet the same ship armor can be penetrated by lightsabers the same way a knife penetrates through a cake. THEY'VE BEEN UPGRADING LIGHTSABERS FOR A THOUSAND GENERATIONS. Get the picture? So unless Doom's armor is laced with cortosis or phirk, it's going to get sliced when Vader decides to slice through it. So no, Doom's armor is gonna get chopped up.

In the new Star Wars Rebels show, Ashoka Tano merely touched Vader's mind, and she got mind-raped because of it. Vader reached out to Luke, but in a non-harmful way. Willpower alone won't save Doom, because touching Vader's mind induces mind-rape on the individual. That's just how powerful Vader is compared to the regular Jedi-and Ashoka was no regular Jedi because she was an effective battle commander at an age where most Jedi are barely combat-ready. So unless Vader just wants to send a simple message like he did with Luke, Doom's in for some mind-rape. Hope he doesn't drop the soap.

Ah, electricity. The universal way to take out Vader, right? Wrong. Vader, like Yoda and Kenobi, can deflect lightning with his Lightsaber or his Force powers. He got short-circuited by the Emperor's lightning because he was weak and his armor was penetrated, and he could've lived had he told Luke not to remove his mask. He ordered Luke to do it because he wanted to die looking at his son's face with his real eyes. Starkiller's clone pumped him full of lightning, and he still lived, even after his armor got penetrated as well. An electrical attack alone can't do the job.

Also, Doom leading Latveria has no impact on this fight. Latveria is the size of a landing zone for the Imperials. Vader's city-sized star destroyer can level it in a matter of minutes. As Palpatine's servant, Vader has several fortress worlds at his disposal, like Bastion. In some continuities, Doom inherits Latveria, so it is of no accomplishment to him. In other cases, he finds Latveria as a peasant shithole, and he uses his economic smarts to lift it out of poverty. Being a good economist doesn't equal to being a good strategist in a duel or a war. Adam Smith is no dueling expert, nor is he a war expert. Vader being a tactical genius is the only thing that would matter in this debate.

Also, if Doom gets the dumb idea to call in Doombots, then Vader just needs to call in stormtroopers with anti-droid rifles. Stormtroopers have no problem killing mooks, and even Jawas have rifles that can disable robots with one shot. And Vader can sense life through the Force anyways, so Doom can't hide behind robot lackeys. The main reason he does hide behind them is because of how easily he can be killed, and Vader's a nigh-invulnerable killing machine. So even by the standards of the characters, Doom is fucked.

So, pretty much, everything Doom has as an advantage is gone. Vader wins. Without question. He will sweep aside Doom's magic with the Force, he will brush aside Doom's defenses with the Force and use it to hurt Doom, and his Lightsaber will indeed cut through Doom like a cake. And his joke of a country can be leveled by Vader's city-sized battleship in less than a few minutes. It could be done in less than a minute, even. So no, Vader wins. Doom is some magician from some backwater world that doesn't even own it's own solar system. Vader's one of the most feared sorcerers in the entire galaxy he's living in. Second only to Emperor Palpatine himself.

Oh, I love this battle idea.

Doctor Doom can fly, shoot bolts of energy from his palms, shoot rockets, his forcefield has only been broken by the Hulk, has defeated Galactus and The Beyonder, can teleport, and even has a time-wielding device.

Darth Vader can crush your throat, destroy your organs, can avoid precognition, deaden your senses and perception, some force moves affect your body telepathically so you couldn't block them, use the force as a FORCEfield (get it?), and can lift objects but only to a maximum weight.

Tough call.

I did my research and I'm going to have to go with Darth Vader. I don't see how Doom can counter this:www.comicvine.com/forums/gen-d… . I can't see him countering force choke(crushes throats), force kill(destroys organs), avoid precognition(future sight, basically), force stun(deaden his senses and perception), etc. I know Jedi mind tricks won't work since it only works on the weak minded and Doom is not weak minded. But I don't see him countering some of his other abilities. Sorry but it looks like Dr. Doom is doomed
