As one-sided as this fight is in Doom's favor, it's just too themically good to pass over, in other words, it is one of those one-sided fights thatΒ NEEDS to happen!

Not sure who would win, both are badass villains, but I do have a question. I not a hardcore comic reader, so does Doom have any defense for Vader's Force Choke? (Sorry if I sound like an idiot).

Don't worry. You're not an idiot, nor do you sound like one. However, I cannot answer your question with total confidence. I do not know if Doom has a counter against Vader's force choke. Arguably, maybe, since he has magic of his own that could somehow counter force powers. However, looking back at other Death Battles, like Luke Skywalker VS Harry Potter, magic and the force cannot cancel each other unless one has an ability to absorb energy. Since the force choke is not an energy based attack, merely the act of squeezing the windpipes of the victim...My best guess would be...No, Doctor Doom has no specialized defense except his own magic and technology.

In that case, I take Vader with a Force Choke victory until proven otherwise. This would still be an epic battle to watch though.Β

Doom's strengths: Doom is a brilliant schemer and tactician who has managed to retain dictatorial control over the country of Latveria in the face of countless defeats against the Fantastic Four, the Avengers, the X-Men, and nearly every hero in the Marvel U. Doom is an expert sorcerer and while he may not know the terminology behind Vader's force abilities, Doom can and likely will bring arcane abilities can trump or at least counter and/or disorient Vader. Some may also enhance his armor's defensive capabilities. Doom's armor enhances his strength and can fire blasts of electricity from his gauntlets. Doom's armor is also connected to a complex on-board computer system (comparable with Iron Man's) which could analyze and gauge the the strengths and weaknesses of Vader's armor or style. Doom's armor, also, does not impede his movement and remains quite agile. In addition, Doom's armor is more for cosmetic purposes to hide his injuries. He does not need them to sustain his life.
Doom's weaknesses: Egotistical and commonly overconfident, Doom has frequently underestimated his foes, which gives the indication that his greatest genius is more in fall-back plans in case he fails. In fact, the very reason Doom wears the mask and armor is because of the mistakes he made trying to contact his dead mother and his own device exploded in his face. Doom is also prone to the classic villain's "monologue" as he either explains his plans or rants against a supposed wrong.
Vader's strengths: Although his connection to the Force is weakened, Vader is still skilled with various Force Powers, which do not require him to say anything, which while Doom might be able to counter them, given that Doom's magic requires some vocal communication, Vader's applications of the Force may be able to keep Doom off balance, at least at first they might... Vader's lightsaber is a universal cutting tool, which would probably be able to deal with Doom's armor, provided it isn't augmented by sorcery at the time. Vader has shown a great deal of toughness being able to survive being left for dead on Mustafar, and countless battles and did not face true defeat until Luke cut off his hand on the Second Death Star. This shows a great deal of combat knowledge and experience, ultimately with a greater success rate than Doom's... though Vader has suffered his fair share of defeats as well. Vader's armor enhances his strength and his fighting style has focused on defending against his armor's weaknesses.
Vader's weaknesses: Vader's armor's primary purpose is to keep him alive. He can survive without his mask, but only for brief periods and largely only in a special chamber. And while his armor has provided a great deal of protection, it also hampers his mobility and makes it difficult for him to deal with more nimble opponents. While initially strong in the Force, the armor actually cuts off Vader's connection to it and limits what he can do with it. His armor is weak against any electrical attack (though he has augmented it to protect against it, allowing him to take low level electric attacks) and if he tries to use Force Lightning, it will backfire on him. While strong against manipulation through the Force and likely through Sith Sorcery, Doom's magic is largely an unknown to him and countering it may take a lot of his energy and abilities.
My verdict... Doom ultimately triumphs, though he is left bleeding and has lost at least an arm. While Doom can under estimate opponents, he is still a skilled combatant who is more maneuverable than Vader, and his blasts of electricity play into a weakness in Vader's armor. Both sets of magic/Force abilities ultimately negate each other, but given his greater range of and arcane uses of magic would certainly disorient Vader. Not to mention being able to fully analyze Vader's armor would give Doom the critical edge needed to deal with Vader... knowledge...

Ummm...Whoa! That is quite an analysis there. I give you major props for that. I like how you judged them both on equal terms, noting their strengths and weaknesses. I do think that the hardest thing for the Death Battle guys to analyze and compare would be Doom's magic and Vader's force abilities, as they are hard to form a baseline for. In terms of sheer weaponry and firepower...I would also give it to Doom. I try to be unbiased in my choices, but sometimes I just can't help it. ^_^

I...
You know Doctor Doom could effortlessly massacre Vader, right?
And I REALLY mean effortlessly.
Vader is actually based on Doctor Doom, but Vader's made to be a villain that relatively weak "normal" human heroes can battle.
Doctor Doom is a technologist whose ability to build battle armor far surpasses Iron Man's (according to Tony Stark himself), his science is matched only by Reed Richards - the smartest man in the world, and his magical ability is essentially on par with Doctor Strange - the most powerful sorcerer in the universe. Doom is next in line to inherit Strange's office of Sorcerer Supreme, should Doom accept the responsibility to protect the cosmic balance (which he won't).
Doom is the supervillain Marvel does not use in crossovers with DC Comics because Marvel feels that DC has no heroes capable of meaningfully contributing to the battle against Doom (since Doom could, for example, effortlessly murder Superman).
Doom has been known to easily defeat the combined might of the Avengers and the Fantastic Four, and truly the main thing that is ever his downfall is Reed Richards' personal understanding of Doom's ego and how to use it against him.
Doom could just stand still and Vader could not phase him. Vader could attack with all the lightsaber he wants, or drop Star Destroyers on him, but Doom's armor and force fields are made for battling things on a god-like level. For taking punches from The Hulk. For rendering the Human Torch's inferno moot.

Precisely. The guys saying Vader would win are vastly underestimating Doom. People need to do their research.
If this was a battle between Anakin pre-Vader with his connection to the Force completely intact, it'd be a much fairer fight. But Vader's armor and cybernetics inhibit his connection severely, leaving him a mere insect compared to Doom.

Doom would win.
He's a genius scientist who is no stranger to cyborgs. He would recognize the type of machines in Vader's body easily, and thus just shoot magic lightning at him, thus causing Vader's iron lung to short circuit, killing him. Shatterpoint would be repudiated by Doom's mastery of magic, and while a lightsaber could probably cut him, he's faster than Vader and would be smart enough to not let the damn thing hit him--heck, he'd probably try to destroy it before doing anything else. Using the Force to fling objects at Doom wouldn't work either, since he can use magic to do something similar. All in all, he is faster, stronger, smarter, more experienced, and more tactical than Vader.
Now, if Vader had never been crippled, he likely would have won since he would have likely had Sith Lightning and a number of other Force-related augmentations to give him the boost he would need to win, plus his more pragmatic fighting style that involves little to no gloating would help. Unfortunately, he's crippled, cutting his potential down to size, and the machines he uses to keep him alive would prove to be a horrible detriment in a fight with Doom.

Some of my friends think this is one sided. Personally I think this is even enough. Dr.Doom may be able to bring up force fields out of nowhere to protect himself as well as attack from a distance, Vader has the force. And can also cut down what ever Victor has in store for him.

Now this would be a battle of titans. one I would love to see. I think it would be a close match. Doom's intellect and ability to dish out pain in forms of magic that can rival the power of the Force as well as taking it gives him a few advantages. And according to some, he is capable of lifting nearly 40 ton... now imagine that powers stored in a punch. Not a pretty sight. Vader does have the command of the Force and his cyborgnetic body gives him an edge with that he's not that afraid of loosing bodyparts than can be easily replaced. His lightsaber can cut pretty much anything but it has not yet been tested against Doom's magic.
It would be a long, painful battle but I feel in the end, Doom would win. I picture he would go for Vader's one weakness.... the machines that keep him alive. Without them, Vader would surely die.

I am very sorry, milord... but when you need machines to keep yourself alive, naturally they are a target. Doom is a smart fighter and packs a HECK of a punch. You would not go down without a fight and as stated previously, a battle of titans. But in the end, the edge goes to him. I'm sorry.
And btw... your master lied to you. If what he said about you killing Padme in anger is correct, how do you explain that Luke is alive? If she had been lying dead at that landingplatform throughout your battle with Kenobi and on her way to a hospital, a unborn child has zero chances of survival if the mother is dead before birth. So the next time the Emperor asks you to blindly accept his orders, you should think to yourself if he is worth it. Ya should instead plan to overthrow him, as is tradition with you sith. That open shaft to the reactor on board the new Dath Star that's under construction seems like a good place. Just a thought. Have a nice day.

Aha... I must have timetraveled wrong. Then, milord, what I suggest you do is to turn on the news or just search the Holonet as to who the young x-wing pilot that blew up the Death Star was. You yourself commented how strong the Force was with him when you tried to shoot him down. You might be surprised to learn his familiyname. Don't ask how I know all this, you wouldn't believe me even if I told you.
