Time to fly higher than ever before as the team of Deep Space Nine become Space Rangers. I knew I wanted Star Trek to be for the Space Rangers, but wasn't quite sure which one at first. In the end I went with DS9 since it is the most...different among the various shows, taking place mostly in one place rather than all over the galaxy. Plus it happening in a centralized location seems par for the course for Power Rangers.

I think this team draws most from the source material, matching the characters of Star Trek to those of Power Rangers In Space. I HAD to make Benjamin Sisko the red ranger, since he's a very hands on captain and the station's ranking CO.
Worf is the blue ranger because 1) imagining Worf in that kind of outfit makes me laugh, considering Worf is not one for flashing colors, and 2) like TJ in Power Rangers In Space, Worf would make an effective commander when the red ranger is not available.
Garak reminds me a bit of Carlos, having compassion and heart, but with a slightly more sly nature.
Like Ashley, Ezri has a wisdom about her and is always there with an open ear, definitely being the glue of the team at times.
On the opposite side of things, you've got Cassie's parallel, Kira Nerys. Both women are strong and independent characters who are not afraid to show their claws.
Odo...I admit probably has a polar opposite personality to Zhane. However, due to the fact he's a one of a kind character aboard the station, I thought that the silver ranger powers were fitting. Plus, since he's the station's security chief, he's not about to let anyone, not even Sisko, have a possible edge over him.
