Description
Next: [link]Ok. So I'm FINALLY hitting the proper style for this project (I think). Really glad how this turned out. I put it in the digital category, cause even though all the inkwork is done traditionally, I composited it together with photoshop.
Hope you guys enjoy.
Since you're missing the previous pages, basically in order to control the mecha, this guy has to plug a whole bunch of wires into his suit. And on this page we see a whole bunch of cables descending out of the machine and into the cabin.

I don't know if you saw the japanese movie named Tekkon Kinkurito. Your drawings reminded me this one cause of the surealistic traits of your main character. Anyway, if you have the chance to see it, this is a great movie XD
By the way, nice comic and nice style

I read the comic four years before they made the movie ;D
I still need to watch the movie though.

Practice drawing a lot without using gray or color. Read up on the rules of composition, and study a lot of different artists.
The most important thing that a lot of people CAN'T do these days (thanks to photoshop mostly) is use black and white properly. But once you get that down, all your other shades will fall into place easily, no matter how simple or complex your toning.

Exactly what did you use to create this? I mean, do you sketch it in pencil first then ink? and also, what did you use for toning?

I pencilled first, then inked over it, then erased it.
I toned with an inkwash and with photoshop, it's a bit too complicated to describe here, but I'm going to make a how-to when school's out and I have time to do so.

Ohh, a how-to video on tones would help me out soo much. I'll keep my eyes peeled for it. I really admire you're work, looks so professional.

Love the white ink splash stars For some reason this reminds me of Hiromoto Shinichi's work, I dunno if you know him, but I love his stuff so I mean that as a compliment. It doesn't look like it, but it kinds feels like it :3

I'd be a bit careful with how heavily you shade this. It looks a little too dark in that second panel.

Yeah my printer totally failed at printing this. I do purposely want it to be somewhat indistinct though to help create the creepy mood.

Thats very neat.
I kinda feel sorry for him though, one of the plugs is kinda phallic.
