How about this?The composition is almost exactly the same, but the I changed the point of view/scale and hopefully that makes it easier to comprehend.
I also shaded with inkwash.

this one looks softer than the other one, which i actually like better. I guess it depends on the mood you're trying to go for, this seems more friendly, the other one seems more distant and somber.
