Description (2005) I'm not really addicted to post things I do for academic purposes. However, as I spent more than the usual 15min I spend doing schoolar things, I decided this piece should deserve a little more attention.
OK, it's not so 'impressive' as Seurat paintings, but here is my pointillism work.

Pointillism with a sakura 0.5 technical pen, based in a photo of Michelangelo's Zeus sculpture.

Here is a zoomed version.

OMG WE JUST STARTED A MYTHOLOGY UNIT IN CLASS!!
anyways, I don't like this as much as your other works because it is without color or hard, realistic lines. BUT I do love the pointilism, and this looks like it took a long time.
I LOVE the eyes and the hair, the eyes are harsh and sullen looking, even more so in contrast to the fluffy, almost dread-lock like hair. I don't like that there are some hard-to-make-out details near to the mouth and nose, though.
Is Zeus your favorite in Greek mythology? Pandora is my favorite. She was one of the three pictures I want to show you but have yet to upload. Pandora represents feminity to me, wonder, innocence, beauty, power and evil. What does Zeus represent to you? What were you thinking of when you did this piece? Do you like it (on a scale of 1 to 10)?

Well, how can I say this... There is no deep meaning in the theme choice.
I just had to choose a picture and interpret it in a "not so convensional" art style, and it came to be a photo of Zeus sculpture.

I am not really into Greek mythology, but because you asked me, I would prefer keeping Pandora in her "box", and I would go with the controversal "nature" of Persephone instead.

Weird, but the first thing that came to my mind when I read about "myths" was Joseph Cambell's works...

Oh, such a let down!
Oh, I see.

I'm only into Pandora and Persephone, as the others have kids with their cousins and stuff.

Who? Which piece?
