Description
Ufff Finally i finished it!!!Omg it was hard to do
I have to praise the people who made those very well tutorials, with clear steps and all full coloured and all that stuff
I made this tutorial because i saw that many people dont know how do it or dont understand what it's on the internet (as me) so now that im making a bunch of shinigami uniforms for my friends i said "why not make a tutorial?" and here is.
Hope it's not very difficult for you to understand and if you have any question feel free to ask :3
Bye~~
Tutorial by me

Depending on what shot you look at, there are any nuber of terms for the garments you see, but this pattern and image is for a men's juban (white layer) and a hitatare (black top). The pants are called hakama.

the kosode is the white under garment in the heian era that modern kimono evolved from. none of kubo's shinigami are wearing true kosode, the sleeve shape is wrong.

So when I make this do I make the kosode and shitage the same size or should I enlarge the kosode slightly from the shitage so that it sets nicely over one another?

Lo siento, el tutorial lo hice directamente en ingles y no tenia planeado traducirlo. Pero si ves que no lo entiendes siempre puedes usar el traductor de google que es bastante aceptable

Thakn you VERY much for this tutorial!! I am doing a Kikyo (InuYasha) cosplay. I already had enough trouble figuring out the hakama pants lol. Btw, how much fabric do you think I'll need for a kosode? I'm 5"3 if that helps any. xD
π: 0 β©: 1
Prailin In reply to Good-Anime [2010-07-30 11:35:58 +0000 UTC]
mmm it depends of the fabric width and how much fabric you need
im usually draw the pieces from the piece chart together, then write at the sides the length of the piece and i add them up
for example
imagine that all the pieces of the piece chart are together
so you will need a fabric that's B+D+D+F wide x A+G+G long
did i explain it well?(oh god i suck at this XD)

π: 0 β©: 1
Prailin In reply to PeanutButterOtter [2010-06-20 20:02:00 +0000 UTC]
well, that depends of how they have the fabric, im used to buy 2.8 x 2 meters for the black fabric and 2.8 x 1 for the white

wait around the neck as in circumference? o.o or like just across the back or something?
