Perhaps a solid color for the eyes instead of a gradient but as far as not "liking" the drawing, it seems to hold influence from the 30s a little in its design. Perhaps you're wanting more of a modern ascetic because the lightning is done fairy well.
The solid line of color upon the disc at the bottom left of the photo does seem a little strange but I'm assuming you're giving an "X-ray" look through a wall, if not, then I'm not entirely sure what it may be highlighting currently. Now that isn't necessary a bad thing, practice makes perfect after all and I know all too well the frustration of proper lighting, color choice, and overall hues/tints.
