I have been wanting a proper explanation of this for such a long time!!! I am a traditional artist trying to branch into the digital world with quite a bit of difficulty in understanding it all and making it work for me! This will help immensely!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Ah! I use these a lot for backgrounds, combined with gradients and fading, makes some very nice effects! <3 And they look cool when you use three layers, or maybe even four! I use these a lot for backgrounds.
I'm glad somebody finally got them all compiled. XD I was wondering what the differences were!

I have a question...how did you put the pattern onto the clothing in the first place? I don't know how to do that >.<

Duplicate the clothes layer, lock opacity and just fill in with another type of filling. For more info, see my other tutorials.

Hi! I found this tutorial while I was trying to help a friend understand layers. I was wondering if I could use it on my tutorial blog here [link] (with full credit to you, of course). I could either copy it, upload it to my own host and post it, making it obvious that you are the author, or I could just give a link to it. I wanted to ask your permission first, though.
Either way, I really enjoyed finding this!

Your lineart doesn't look bad. You got the technique but maybe practice the anatomy more.. dunno. I suggest you trace over some pictures.

I am trying to show you you have to learn critical thinking about your own work. Observe a piece you like and ask: why is it so pretty? And another question: how did they achieve it? Always try to find out the method and try to imitate it, or ask about it. I can point out some areas at particular pictures, but asking me, hey, tell me any tips but I dunno for what is not the best way.

XDD yayy i already do that... the tracing thing i started lyke 2 days ago bcause i like several style... i like to mix them into one... like for example, i like the way u do the skin shading, but i like another artists style of hair or clothing coloring or whatever. mostly i would like tips on how you do the lienarts... my liness get all messed up.. recently i started using the ink option ... its pretty hard. i dont like the paths tool because it doesnt seem to have the pressure sensiivity that i could get out of ink >.< but they 👍: 0 ⏩: 1

If you waste so much of my time, I shoudn't talk to you at all.
For linearts, I do a sketch first, either with a pencil or on tablet (the pencil is easier, I guess.) Then I scan it and ink to a new layer.. I try to be precise, have closed areas and not unnecessary overruns (also becuase the colouring is easier). My lineart is usually quite thick.
I have a tutorial too, see my gallery.
