Axtelera Ray™: Rise of Astrone is an epic saga that fuses fantasy and superheroes with real historical events and global mythology.

An original creation by Alroy Jovi , in 2000, Axtelera Ray™ is an epic fantasy tale that has evolved over several years through the imagination of Alroy himself and his team of exceptionally-talented individuals. The first volume in series, Axtelera Ray: The Chronicles of Astrone, is currently being written by British fiction author, M. J. Gallagher , best known for his unofficial novelisation of the popular videogame, Final Fantasy VII .

ABOUT:
The story is set both on Earth and in Octavia, an otherworld of transcendent kingdoms that has prospered in peace and unity for an Age. Octavia is a technologically-advanced place where science and supernatural abilities are entwined, and the nurturing of one’s soul can unlock their ancient secrets. The Earthborn speak of legends, of heroes and villains that once lived and ruled the Heavens and the Netherworlds; heroes and villains who, in eons past, were worshipped as gods. This mythology, however, is known by another name to the many races of Octavia:

While humans entertain their young with the fables of Ancient Egypt, Chinese folklore or fairytales from Celtic tradition, the Octavian museums display artefacts and weapons that once belonged to powerful kings like the Olympian Zeus and Odin the Allfather. But, four hundred years have passed since the terrible uprising of Ragnarok changed this world forever, and the days of such renowned leaders are long gone. Strict laws on immortality and contact with Earth have seen the coexistence of these inter-dimensional siblings diminish, and the humans have forgotten how their civilisation was truly shaped.

Towering structures of gold and marble dominate the vast city skylines of Octavia, where unlimited and renewable energy is sourced from celestial crystals, and majestic flying horses or colossal leviathans are the fastest way to travel between realms. Progressive races of men, elves, skinchangers, giants, centaurs, fairies, dragons and countless more ethnicities have formed seemingly-harmonious societies – the legacy of Ragnarok – but this was eventually doomed to unravel…

As its name suggests, a primary focus for the saga is the ascension of Astrone – a great but mysterious man – to the position of High King of Octavia, and thereafter the struggle to reclaim his throne once a deadly betrayal has seized it for evil gain. Protecting his people and those dearest to him, Astrone has done what he must to stop his enemies laying claim to the source of his power: the Everstars. With the future shrouded by uncertainty and the governing authorities deceived, the fate of Octavia rests on the shoulders of what few gifted individuals have denounced the reign of the new ruler, and the young Earthborn sent to help them.

The first novel, Axtelera Ray: The Chronicles of Astrone, is largely told through the eyes of the teens that have been summoned to this magical and mesmeric world for an adventure fraught with danger and twists, destined to uncover complex conspiracies and bring peace back to the realms.

However, just as the Octavians of long ago possessed extraordinary abilities on Earth, so do the Earthborn in Octavia. A new era of superheroes has begun.

The time has come for the Chosen to rise…
