Actually, there is a tactic (from what time period, I can't remember) of making your warriors go naked.
It makes them lighter on their feet and more aware of their surroundings. You'd be more careful if you weren't wearing anything, right?
This elf just doesn't want to be fully naked.

Don't you know the rules of Armor class in fantasy? The more skin a female is showing, the higher their defence is.

Lovely art...but every time I see games with characters dressed like this I can't help but poke a little fun. Who in their right mind would go to battle without some sort of protection to their midriff?!?! Not to mention the metal bra looks EXTREMELY uncomfortable. How does it not chafe, how does it hold? HOW THE FREAKING HECK ISN'T SHE FREEZING? Then she doesn't have any shoes on. Eeeerrrgghh.....
*headdesk* I'm sorry...from a logical standpoint, this set of armor makes no sense. But from an artist or a male viewpoint....its fantastic! The attention to detail is amazing, the proportions are nice, and the overall balance in color and texture is fabulous!
