Because I rather prefer to draw I decided to paint something in free time. I didn't include any written tips so I'm gonna write something here.
So:

Since it is really easy to mess the shading when you start adding to fast contrasting colours, begin with middle tones. Then progresively add darker colours. It is pretty important to begin with the whole body as a sketch. Try to avoid painting things partially because it is almost impossible to catch the same colours afterwards. I usually add shining light in the end because it's something you don't have to add if you don't want too. Like in this example above. I didn't add light at all because the picture is supposed to be dark.

To achieve contrast that you like, use 'exposure' feature (in photoshop) n the end. I used it to make my picture darker and a bit more contrasted.

I use basic brushes and am changing opacity and flow. Sometimes I turn 'airbrush' function on.

"Targa is a multithreading story based mostly on various RPG games. Plot of the manga in placed in medieval-gothic-baroque-modernist reality of fantasy world with domination of medieval, in which constant war between nations carry on.
In result of arising conflict between high elves and necromanciers a war breaks. Necromanciers have gathered their biggest elf enemies and using magic have separated a territory in elf kingdom (Sylfi) creating Raphar valley. It happens exactly 28 years ago. The created barrier was called magical or mountain barrier.
Separated nations in Raphar are: High elves, Common elves, Humans (they are allies) and Necromansier, Orcs, Harpies (allied antagonists)
Targa is a kind of a country, military organization. It was created by 5 most powerful and strongest warriors, further called Leaders. They are dictators and rules, politics, economy and army.
Inside Raphar magic does not work so all the nations have to fight using weapons such as swords, halberds, bows etc.
ABOUT HARPIES:
Harpies are the most powerful creatures in Raphar. Only females, half woman, half bats. They have claws and nails that they can retract. They look anorexic and have pneumatic-like bones. Their leg bones are made with extremely hard material. They sleep upside down covering their bodies with wings (like bats). They all are sarcastic, ironic, wise, intelligent and cruel. wise and intelligent - only adult harpies.. They are egg-bearing but they are mammals and can reproduce with necromaciers, elves and humans. If the boy will hatch his visual look will be similar to his father, and compatibile with fathers race, if it will be a girl... it will be very difficult first 10 years for young mother. But the girl will look like her, will also share the same colour which is always unique. Sons are leaving mountains with their fathers after a year. Girls stays by mohers sides.
Young harpies are special. And totally different from adults. They're silly, VERY brave, they act absolutely scandalous, bellicose, warlike. To learn to fly they have to be brave, but it means they're falling down from mountains, having crashes with minerals (inside the cave), trees, rocks, their poor mothers, everything. Because it is very hard to raise a harpy, those adult usually decides to have only one daughter.

ABOUT NOETHER:

She should be antagonist as a harpy. But she is n exception. Noether leaves her nation because of unknown reasons. She joins Nebula's group, unwanted, without permission and without any positive emotions. She is backtalking, laughing at their poor bodies and is arrogan and insolent toward them all. She has guardians for her daughter for free. But later on her help is invaluable and the group slowly accepts her. Noether is not a big problem. Her troublemaker daughter Olle (7 years old) is.
