agreed, people just like to assume. even though to me I get why people would think that way with this particular hug. It looks very intimate not in a sexual way but more of a partner in a relationship showing comfort. I think if you did a regular hug the statement would have more power to it.

So agree. Two guys can no longer hug without someone thinking it is sexual. True love has nothing to do with sex. True love is that person loving you even when your body is no longer young and attractive. True love is that person loving you when you survived a horrible disfiguring accident. True love is that person loving you even when you can no longer lift your arms to return the hug.

To be fair, not every person hugging one another is assumed to have a sexual ulterior motive. This could be misinterpreted seeing how not many people sit in another's lap when hugging unless they're intimately acquainted.
