So I just want to gush for a bit on how this turned out, even though I gave you only general directions except for one outfit they turned out great. I think the smiley hoodie is my favorite, but I really like the two in the far right column as well. The fire dress doesn't seem like something she'd pick to wear herself but it does seem like the kind of thing her girlfriend would get her to wear to a party, so that's great too! Though the blue black and white dress, I can't decide if that's more fashion or costume.

how do you come up with all these great costumes for characters? Do the commissioner come up with them or do you design according to the character's personality and hints from the commissioner?

It depends on commissioner. If they have something specific in mind or references, or just general idea of the style or if they want me to design everything.
