Description I will, eventually, do some proper art. I'm just making too much money doing this stuff, right now, to stop.

1) In this case, with a stippling brush - first Bestial Brown and then, I think, Bleached Bone.

2) By striking the delicate balance between skill and speed I manage to achieve a decent hourly rate for my work. I'm not the world's best painter by any means, but I finished this commissar in under two hours.

cool, a stippling brush! never though of that, gotter try it out for making spalches on my rhinos.

- wow, spend about 1 day pr figure I want painted to my best standart and if I make 10 (serie producktion of assault marines ex.) I spend most of a day painting them. O.o
I guess thats why I get tempted to buy some on Ebay- just dont have enought whole days to spend haha

Fantastic paint job mate. I personally love how dark the model is. I think it really makes the character seem menacing rather than pompous. Great work on the face and mud splatters on the coat too, very nicely done

Great facial detail. Brings a certain Hero of the Imperium to mind.

The muddied coat is interesting, but he seems rathr dark. Now while he is a commissar and that fits perfectly, it just seems like the breastplate could be brighter.

Then again, best way to motivate the troops is put something scarier than the enemy behind them.

I was originally going to add some highlights to the breastplate, but, once done, the finish looked so nicely muted that I decided not to mess with it.

Ah. Well, the dark works for keeping the guardsmen in line. I know i'd be mortified about a discussion with the Commoissar if all he was was a dark pillar.
