after seeing AVP2 i thought about how could the facehugger that got the predator Scar in the first movie make a haft predator/alien? cause all the facehugger needs is a body for the baby alien to grow. there not having sex with the host or anything 8< if it was true then the aliens would be having haft human/aliens? i put some thought just to one thing XD its JUST A MOVIE! but i don't care! >8caliens like having throatsex.... lawl

Well since Alien 3, it's kind of shown that the Xenomorph takes on traits of its host. The Runner Alien took on traits from a dog (in the theatrical cut, in assembly cut I think it's an oxen), in the Batman vs Aliens comic there's an Alligator Xenomorph, and there are countless toys of Xenomorphs such as the Praying Mantis Xenomorph and I believe a Bull Xenomorph.

Xenomorphs take on the DNA of whatever host they grew in. The majority of Xenomorphs we see are off humans, however there has also been the Dog Alien and the Predalien. The Expanded universe has a fuckton of different Xenomorphs, all of which are fairly stupid. Don't ask me how a facehugger impregnates a Mantis.

Alien Queen -> lays eggs. Eggs -> facehuggers. Facehuggers -> chestbursters. Chestbursters -> Xenomorphs (workers/soldiers). Cycle continues. No Xenomorphs reproduce without facehuggers, at least I think that is what you are saying. All come from Alien Queen. Watch 'Aliens' again, I guess

You are absolutely right, every single Xenomorph we have seen aside from the Queen herself are all half-Xenomorphs. The majority of them are all half-human/half-xeno, and the Predalien is no exception. Every type has to have some traits of the host; for example, the ones born from human hosts are bipedal and forward-facing eyesockets hidden underneath the cowl, the one born from the dog is a quadruped, and the one born from the yautja is bipedal as well as having the dreadlocks and the mandibles. The only pure Xenomorph, according to some of the commentaries on the DVD's is the queen herself.

The alien getting DNA from the host is a very old thing. Since the early Alien movies there's been toys of bull/aliens, dog/aliens, snake/aliens(My fave, just the alien head with a long serpent body). I used to stare at the toys in the stores from them. But I'm a girl so mom wouldn't buy them to me but I've always had weird interests like that.
Then the video games, I remember one where everytime you'd be reaching a boss you'd see an animal with a bursted chest. Gorilla, gator are the only I remember, and then when you reach the boos it was this huge Alien with the traits of the animal it got out of.
I think the human attribute on the regular aliens is how the stand upright straight sometimes. And because the movies always have humans you think that's the original way the aliens look, but if they were in some other planet with other creatures they'd be different.

Well it has been proven that the host does affect some of the genetic makeup of the alien. The alien in alien 3 came from a dog, and the body was sleeker, the face slightly more narrow, and was the only alien without the tubes on its back. The only thing though with a predalien was that It had a major change in appearance due to the host, Scar. But in my opinion they went too far giving it hair. Other than that it was awesome!
