lignum leapers, (tree leapers) is a new type of mollusk like animal that has been found on a planet much like our own, but with very dense, strange forests that are just being discovered. Lignum leapers have been known to launch from trees with foot like structures under there usual foot that are used for climbing. When they do this is usually when large animals are passing by so they can stick on to them with there thorn at the end of they're shell.At the end of the thorn there is a small hole that is used as a mouth to drain blood from the animal it attaches itself to. and since they're so small, the larger animals don't even realize they just got pricked by one of these buggers.

This water color is for and the contest. This watercolor definitely isn't one of my best, (and is pretty sloppy) but it'll have to do for now...I might do it again in the future, but it was still fun to do! can't wait for the next one!
