The image was aligned-stacked-edited from a 45 second video taken during our live stream of the event (youtu.be/-KYBZ5M_Zks ).

Jupiter and Saturn were low in the sky on that day and turbulence/seeing* was bad. Our location was probably also affected by vog^!

Nevertheless, in the image, you can see Jupiter with 3 of its moons (Io, Ganymede, Europa) and Saturn. We were lucky enough to also capture Ganymede's shadow on Jupiter as it was orbiting around Jupiter.

^Seeing: Is the term astronomers use to describe the sky's atmospheric conditions. Astronomical seeing refers to the amount of apparent blurring and twinkling of astronomical objects due to turbulence in the atmosphere of Earth.

^vog: Vog is a form of air pollution that results when sulfur dioxide and other gases and particles emitted by an erupting volcano react with oxygen and moisture in the presence of sunlight. There was a volcanic eruption on our island about a week back!
