They had 2 eggs so they set the lighting differently on both, hoping to get boy and girl. They didn't think one would be a dud

I hated her. She had potential but the angle they took with her being a "shinobi" and using chi balls as a weapon was stupid to me. I did enjoy how Leo & Raph were always a little into her
