I cracked up over the book! Haha! "It was a terrible book, don't worry." Classic.
I love the idea of ink on literature. If it was a book on Rudyard Kipling or something, that would be awesome to read the words form the book along with the elephant picture. Nicely done!

haha! Yes I think if I were ever to do something like this again, I would find a good text (probably photocopy it ) that has to do with what I'm going to paint over it. Man that would be pretty meaningful! Rudyard Kipling is a poet right? I've never read anyof his work, got any suggestions? I recently just read 'The Bell Jar' by Sylvia Plath, it was wonderfully written and really powerful, but jeez it was incredibly depressing! Haveyou read the book? Basically its a semi-autobiography of the author's life, and it talks about her struggle with depression and life spiralling out of control and suicide attempts. And only 1 month after the book was published the author put her head in the oven and killed herself its terrible sad. I recommend it if you want to read somethng darker and, well brutally honest. Its just so different from all other books, but I think I would have appreciated it more if I read it in a couple years, because she's just out of collage and like 20 something, so I guess whats happening to her woudl be more relatable? Oh and I just read Atonement too, I think we've discussed this book/movie before? anyways, I loved it, but the ending!!!

Oi, the ending! It just kills you. It was all make-believe, her way of atoning for what she did. I saw the movie and even though I like Saoirse now, I hated her in that movie. She was horrible. What her character did was beyond reprehensible. She destroyed a man's life with an atrocious lie.
It ruined everyone's life, including her own. No, I've heard of the Bell Jar but I've never read it. I heard too many things about it, her death by suicide, the depressing hopelessness of the book...it just seemed like something that would only make me feel like poo and I really don't want to feel that way. Atonement was bad enough. That was a wretched movie. Good but wretched.
Oh, if you really want to see a depressing movie, watch "The Remains of the Day," or read the book. Brutal, absolutely brutal.
It's just so depressing.
It's like when you're done, you just want to kill yourself.
Wretched. It's supposed to be one of the great movies of modern times with the impeccable Anthony Hopkiins playing the lead, but utter and desolate hopelessness is not my idea of a good cinematic time. I will never watch that movie again. Ever! You couldn't pay me to put my soul through that again...well, for the right amount, I could consider it.
Triple digits and you've got a deal.

thank you!! It was actually really quick, since ink dries up really fast and you cant layer it or anything, so i would say maybe around 2 hours?

It's still really beautiful for just 2 hours. I actually took Chinese painting a few years ago, and never really warmed up to painting with ink. I'm more of a dry medium person, so it's amazing to me that you can control it so well!!
Your paintings are all so amazing though, I hope I can make it to your level sometime. And you're only 15 - woahhh????????

thanks!! Yea I used to only be comfortable using pencils and stuff, and I'm still getting used to paint and ink! I've still got a long way to go, sometimes with wet media it looks really bad at the beginning without all the details and just blobs of colors and I have to stop myself from ragequitting
aw thanks your too kind! I love the surrealism and jesus all that detail!! i need your patience
