The fantastic Tony Shalhoub who plays Adrian Monk. God, the man is sexy. Why? I don't know.
This is the first portrait I've done with which I am completely happy. I told myself that, for this one, I would not settle for anything less than I wanted.
I'm actually really surprised how the hair turned out considering no tutorial exists on how to do short curly hair.
I was thinking of turning this into a wallpaper for myself. Anyone want one? If so, I plan on doing wide-screen, dual monitor (duh) and regular resolution. Let me know if you want a different background style for it.

Not the first portrait as I've started others. But this is the first that I didn't trace OR select my colouring straight off of the reference picture, or paint over. And I even did it with a mouse. *grumblegrumbledamntabletgrumblegrumble*
But it IS the first portrait I've finished and the first that I'm a hundred percent happy with.
What I'm most excited about is in a few weeks I'm (finally) going to get a digital camera so I can do actual art, instead of just drawing exactly what's on the reference photo. But not too soon as I still want practice.

Me either. But I'm still going to draw up until then. First I'm putting out a tutorial then I'm drawing Summer Glau (River Tam from Firefly/Serenity)
