A redesign of:

His name is Altox but he has been lovingly nicknamed Boof or Boofy by Doctor Auder, special thanks to the sound his steam whistle hat makes. He is the current host of the Motherbeast, or just the Mother. He lived in the Grey Village, a small town in the Screaming Woods, a part of the woods where the trees bleed and screams can be heard. The Grey Village prays to the Mother as if it were a god, and gave Altox to the beast when he was an infant as a 'sacrifice'.
He was staked in the heart by the Mother and his status as host harshly escalated his physical aging as the beast fed off of his youth. When he's near her, he sees vivid illusions of a very lush garden, and is oblivious to his decaying state. Because of this, he feels comforted by her, and feels like she's a mother to him. His physical body aged and degraded, but his mentality was stunted- physically, he is 27, but at heart he is a 12 year old. He sometimes wanders away from the Mother in search of small yellow flowers- when he's farther away from the beast, the illusions fade- in spite of his discomfort, he continues pursuing small yellow flowers- the fluffy looking ones are his favorite.
He loves making friends, and feels hurt when people run and scream from him- he sometimes wears a hood in an effort to hide himself, but the strong smell of rot he radiates doesn't fade.

The swelling around his neck is filled with black and decayed sludge- the mother can manipulate the rot in his body, particularly around his neck, to physically force him to do things, and suffocate him.
