I'm really good and finding them and letting my buddies know where they are and they catch them like 123 caught. I don't have level to yet....

*gets his 2H crossbow, attach a butterfly net to a rope, then shoots* [Unable to create] Well if only I could "invent it".

Some idiots voted for Prifddinas instead. Still hate that place.

We still get invention anyway, but if you think about it, they made more work on invention, so in a way it's gonna be more developed. Invention might not be a direct skill, but it will be something that all skills can benefit.

Yeah, I see what you mean, but now they're talking about it having requirements of being level 80 in other skills to start training. I'm not bothered with levelling - I've got my 10 year cape and don't have a single 90+. I'm here for the questing, and I don't want to grind for weeks just so I can pay 100m+ (why the hell is everyone so rich, now? Back in my day, Abyssal Whips were a status symbol and we didn't have RuneEbay.) to superglue some pink tassels to my Zamorak Godsword.

Yea, and same with the 10 years cape. I remember that abyssal whip were the pinnacle of expensive weapons.
Yet how I view the updates isn't for just what I want, but also what can many get from it:
- I remember when the infamous Wildy PvP removal took a toll on the runescape community, yet within those times there were a few things I really love such as World PvP, not just wildy. I really love the fact that Wildy returned, but saddened by the lost of World PvP, it added some challenges, plus if we find bots at places such as the blue dragons we can kill them. Some do love the idea to have world pvp and many tried to get that back as well.
- I also remember when EOC came on, many loved it (including me), and many hated it, personnaly the Dual Wielding really made things great. It made me review my strategies even more, and my hated combat skill (ranged) became equal to my other 2. Plus it made things more interesting when going against camping-pkers and their ice spells, poison dragon dagger, and dragon claws. Many hated the removal or limitations of their abilities, but to be fair it was helpful for those who like to penguin hunt, agility course, or god cape in the wild. Later on Old School returned and I am like, I did and done it, so nothing major for me.
In ways I can't explain, sometimes even stuff I hate, I find ways to like something in it. Prifddinas became the most used place for high levels since it acts as a second Grand Exchange, making GE less laggy for many since there are less players at one spot. For those who hate grinding, well there are a few afk high level training skills there, thieving has targets where the level of difference aren't that far apart, plus some areas do have privileges such as the gem ore mining you can get Onyx. I voted for invention, but I do enjoy Prifddinas' activities and opportunities.

I love EOC too. My friends all quit when it was released, but I don't really see what the big deal was.
I can't even get into the place, I've done Catapult Construction and Regicide, but now it's like "you must be level 95 and have 300 trillion GP and be able to take on 20 level 1000 monsters at the same time to start the quest before the quest before this one. Also, each quest is 8 hours long. Have fun."
RuneScape's dependence on raid bosses, bots and real world trading, maxed stats, unending bank accounts, a community that used to be good and is now full of arseholes and clans that ban you for spending time in the hospital, then ignore you when you tell them are what turned me off the game, now I just check Miscellanea every other day and do the holiday events - that started sucking when they put them into the main world instead of their own area a few years ago.
The game holds a special place in my heart, and I'll never quit, but it's really trying my patience to keep blindly giving them money every month and seeing content I can't use because people always vote for the high level stuff and they're always trying to drag in new players so the bottom levels get stuff too, but what do I get for diligently having all of my levels in the 60-85 bracket? Slim to bubkis.
TL;DR: I'm ranting. I never get good content, I've cut down my play time to around an hour a week but I'm not quitting properly.

EoC, was change from simple to complicated, and many hated that change. Now we have legacy. So it's a matter of time.
Well most quests barely touch the level 90's yet, and most level 90's are optional for additional rewards, and sometimes if you made other quests before you get more dialog. Got level 90 prayer recently and went to Guthix (World Wakes) for my final reward. Which is what I love to have an optional system added.
I mostly play runescape weekly instead of daily, got bored to train skills and such (I mostly train all my skills equally). And activities such as... ugg... Warbands... it gets invaded by groups, and if you don't fit the bill you get kick out after you looted and kill you. I get very irritated by it.
I'll never quit as well, as for money, I have my method of investment. Especially for runecoins as well, instead I buy 3 months, I buy 2 months + runecoins, per month, until I reach 12 months. Once I reached the goal, I stop until I am at my last month.
For new content, I got quite trilled and surprised that slayer belt got voted 1st, meaning hope is not lost. Many players including some low level players do vote for long shots. Prifddinas might be high level, but has been years waiting for it. And one even longer, yet no content has been provided for it yet "hint" [Museum + Ship].
Few hours of Weekly plays is ok.
