Poor Kakashi-senpai... ... ...this is from the only "Naruto" series,right?(Even though i can't remember him showing his team mates from those series)!

Yes. The idea came from part one where he would hang around the memorial for fallen shinobi and say stuff like "I will not allow my comrades to die" (which is a reference to some flashbacks in shippuden). Other stuff happens with this team mates in shippuden and there are also some flashbacks that let us get to know Rin and Obito a bit better.

Ah,yes!Kakashi suffers for his friends a lot,but you'll know the whole story when you come near the half(at least) of the new episodes and see what really happens!

I've seen the first flashback in the Kakashi chronicles already where Obito supposedly dies. I've gotten some spoilers about what happens to Rin, its so freaking sad. But yeah, I love all the hints throughout the series that let you know how changed Kakashi was because of that. You know he puts his comrades first now.
