Ha, actually when I first had the idea for this picture, I hadn't read that post.
It's just that since I named "Chara" for myself, I saw myself as Chara in the game, and I accompanied Frisk through their whole adventure. Β Chara was only evil if YOU were evil. Β (And I never did the genocide route.)
In my view, Asriel actually does realize that Chara is there at some point, considering that if you log into the game after the true/pacifist ending, Flowey will directly address Chara (you).
That being said, I HAVE actually read the blog post you refer to before, and I don't think anything that I've said really conflicts with it very much.
In fact, when I read it, I wound up agreeing with the vast majority of it, and it gave me insights that I hadn't had before.
It points out important details and connections and does a great analysis.
In short, I like that blog post a lot.

Well, Chara is in the same spot as Asriel. Just that they don't have a physical form. And they could've only felt things when we were playing. Their soul is gone, so they only felt things with Frisk's soul. Flowey at first freed everyone, hopefully they would feel something. But they resetted and became bored. So it would be up to us to decide whether make Chara curious enough to end everyone or let Frisk be for real.
