Awesome work. NMM is gorgeous (as always) and you really know how to make realistic looking clouds.
I've to wonder why you put the earth in place of the moon. Is it part and explained in the fic?

This reminds me of a RPG back at the turn of the century. Lunar: Silver Star Story and Lunar:Eternal Blue. If you've played that series of games, you know what I mean.

This works well, it now captures the idea I wanted to use for the cover-art. Thanks Pridark, I do love the style of the art, as well as how it came out.
Now to go and make final edits to the story so I can release that as well.Β

So, let me try to interpret this picture.
A narcissist is having a dream of a date with his/her gender-swapped self, while Nightmare Moon is sitting near, trying to win the heart of the dreamer, but the dreamer ignores her, so Nightmare Moon instead falls in love with the moon.
(Just kidding, but I guess I'm still more accurate than what I was taught in arts and literature lessons in school.)Β

Pridark cheated and replaced the moon with Earth after my comment.

There was an oops in the communication between what I was asking Pri for, and what she did, so at first it was the moon she was sitting there staring at.
Story I'm writing involves three teens who get brought to Equestria, one of which as a near replica of Nightmare Moon (note the eyes, bout the only difference). The three of them are simply trying to find a way back home, and so she is staring up into the sky and actually imagining Earth being up there. That's the short version of events, anyways. Need to make a few adjustments before I post the story over on FIM though, but the Earth up there, out of reach of them, is more in line with the story's premise.
