Description So I was working on something and realized the existing pangender symbol is lopsided so I spent several days making crisp and even gender symbols, including lots of bigender combos! I'll be uploading them all soon.

I'm making a glossary for most of the terms I used so I don't have to look it up each time I upload.

They're all in this folder right now so you don't have to wait for them to be posted here if you want to download them right away!

The PSD template I used to make these is there too if you want to make your own stuff!

Agender

Complete genderlessness , or the lack of gender.[1] It is a non-binary identity in which one is not male , female , or any other gender. They may identify as most strongly as just a person, rather then as any given gender.

While a complete lack of gender is the most common definition of agender, people may call themselves agender for other reason, such as:

Aliagender Or Aliusgender is a gender which is "other", or stands apart from existing social gender constructs. It is a specific non-binary identity which is not a mixture of male and female, nor an absence of gender, but instead a strong, specific gender identity that is not man or woman. It is removed from common gender descriptors and guidelines. The term is often used by people who would identify as "third gender," but who don't want to appropriate any culture-specific gender identity implied by the term "third gender".

Androgyne An identity under the non-binary umbrella. It is described as being simultaneously male and female or in between male and female. Some androgynous people may identify as bigender , with one masculine gender and one feminine gender, while others may identify as a single gender that is somewhere in between man and woman, but not completely one or the other.

Demigender A group of genders, in which one is partially, but not fully a given gender. It can also describe those who feel the barest connections to a gender, but not enough to fully identify as that gender. Demigender people may identify as another gender in combination with demigender. Demigender can also be an identity in itself, for people who feel a partial connection to the concept of gender in general. Demigender people often identify as non-binary and may also identify as transgender .

Epicene

A term used to describe a lack of gender distinction. It can also be used as a gender, or as a way to describe a range of genders.

Genderfluid Refers to someone whose gender identity changes over time. A genderfluid person can identify as any gender, or combination of genders at any given time. Their gender can change at random or it may vary in response to different circumstances. One's gender can change over the course of hours, days, weeks, months, or years. For some people their gender changes on a somewhat consistent "schedule", for others their gender changes at random times. Some genderfluid people can be fluid between all genders, or a large amount of genders. Other genderfluid people are fluid between a small handful of genders.

Intersex A term for those born with physical sex characteristics that cannot be traditionally classified as male or female.[1] Variations may appear in a person’s chromosomes, natural hormones, genitalia, or gonads, secondary sex characteristics, or some combination of these things. Intersexuality is observed in many animals including humans. According to the ISNA it is estimated that as many as 1.7% of people are born with intersex traits.[2] [3]

Intergender A gender for intersex people only, referring to any gender identity that is fundamentally tied to one's intersex identity. It denotes that being intersex has an important affect on one’s gender identity. It commonly involves a gender that is in between male and female or a gender that is partially male and/or female, but it does not necessarily have to. It can modify someone’s gender identity (i.e. intergender demiboy ) or it can be an identity on its own (i.e. I am intergender because being intersex practically is my gender experience).

Maverique A non-binary  gender that is defined as being completely independent from male , female , masculine , feminine , neutral , or anything in between or derived from any of them. It is also not a lack of gender. It is characterized by autonomy and inner conviction regarding a sense of gender which is unorthodox, unconventional and entirely independent of conventional concepts of gender. Despite this maveriques have a distinct and firm sense of gender.

Neutrois A non-binary gender identity that is associated with having a neutral or null gender. It is an umbrella term, with each person experiencing neutrois differently. Common definitions include feeling neutrally gendered- feeling neither male , female , nor anything in between, but still feeling strongly gendered (similar to maverique or aporagender ). Another common definite is feeling null-gendered , genderless or agender - some genderless individuals may identify as both agender and neutrois, while others may prefer one term or the other. Neutrois and agender are occasionally used interchangeably. Neutrois individuals may also identify as transgender .

Non-Binary (Sometimes shortened to NB or enby) refers to someone whose gender does not fall strictly within the category of the binary genders (man or woman ) that are used in western society. Anyone who is not always, solely, 100% male or female can be considered non-binary. Some non-binary people may identify with one or both of the binary genders, at least in part.

Offgender A gender in which someone feels most closely represented by a certain gender, but is not that gender. For example, an offboy would feel very close to the description of "boy" yet is not a boy. It can be likened to what the color off-white is to white. It may be similar to paragender or perigender .

Othergender Other, Othergender, Other-gender, or Eligender indicates an otherly, different, or foreign gender, but also a specific/objective gender identity. It is beyond the pre-established gender terms within a society. It is typically used as a general category for any gender that is outside the rest of the given options. For example, usually in documents, there is "male ", "female " and "other" option, possibly among other options.[1] [2] It may overlap with x-gender in this way. Though some people may identify as "other" as a specific identity, similar to non-binary .

Subgender

Or Minumegender is a gender similar to libragender . It is when one is around 3/4 agender with the rest being another gender. It can be combined with other terms to show what the "other gender" is (ex. subboy, minumegirl, etc.)[1]

Third and Fourth Genders A general category used most commonly in anthropology and sociology to classify the cultural specific genders that are neither man nor woman that are recognized by some non-Western cultures. For example, genders such as Māhū from Hawaii, and hijras from South Asia, are often described as third genders. It is sometimes expanded to fourth gender or even fifth gender when a culture recognizes multiple different genders outside of man and woman.

Travesti

A transfeminine identity in Latin America, also a transgender expression, similar to travestigênere and transvestic .[1] Travestis have also been described as a third gender , but not all people who identify with the term see themselves this way.[2] [3] Travesti was initially a derogatory term but has been reclaimed by Argentinian and Peruvian travesti activists. Travestis emerged as a distinct social group in the 1970s.[4]

Xenogender Xenogender is an umbrella term for non-binary  gender identities that cannot be fully described through their relation to concepts typically used to describe gender such as masculinity , femininity , androgyny , neutrality , agenrity , or outherinity . Instead, xenogenders can best be described through how they relate to things, beings, or concepts that most people don't think of as having to do with gender, such as animals, plants, things, or concepts. It is sometimes described as any gender that "cannot be contained by human understandings of gender". People who identify as a xenogender may call themselves xenic . The gender quality associated with xenogenders is xeninity . The opposite of xenogender is anthrogender .
