Pregender is a state in which one is growing into but not quite at a particular gender, or is moving to identify as a gender but has yet to fully embrace the term. One may feel that their gender is transitioning towards, but has not yet reached, that gender.[1] [2] For example, a pregirl/prewoman may feel like their gender is growing into, but has not quite reached female.
It is the opposite of postgender .
History
Pregender was coin on or before June 24, 2014 by Tumblr user Lamb777 (formerly Baaphomett).[1] The flag was created on June 16, 2018 on the Tumblr blog Beyond-MOGAI-Pride-Flags.[3] There is no known meaning.
