Description
This is something of a simple, initial ref for my red woof's redesign before I finish her complete ref sheet, while I get back into the swing of digital arting after a long, difficult school week that includes five consecutive all-nighters and two day naps, plus a lot of anguish. ;u;

After chatting with Autlaw a bit about the history of the internet wolf/canine artist fandom, I was inspired to look back at my own wolf character, Kitsune, and give her some TLC, plus a major design upgrade! o/

And so, Kitsune has mega evolved into Mega Kitsune~!!

She does not have the flaming sword anymore. XD My kitsune character does.

As some may or may not know, Kitsune used to also be known by the name of "Shizuka," and use to be my main fursona during my earlier years on the internet! 8D I drew her alllll the time, had her joining countless RPs, mained her in all wolf games and still dooo. She was originally inspired in her design by things like Spice and Wolf the anime, Wolf Quest the PC game, Okami the Wii game, Mabinogi the MMO, Wolf Packs the Facebook game, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimmaron and probably more. XD

As a fursona, though not my main anymore, she now represents the innocent side of me that I used to have many years ago before the internet tainted and corrupted me. She does not yet know what things like 69, masturbate, 420 blaze it, and 'I came' mean!! ;o; rofl There was also a time back then when I used to be known as "Kitsune" by my internet friends, when I had her as a main sona. A little accidental happening when I tried swapping my first and last name on Facebook just for fun, and at the time had my name as "Shizuka Kitsune." XD
She represents things like freedom, innocence, purity, optimism, joy, etc.

As for her redesign, I'd been thinking really hard that I wanted to add a third or maybe fourth color to her teeny tiny palate. So I looked up real red wolves and kinda based her darker stripes on the markings I saw in real wolves. :3
Her fabulous hairstyle is inspired by several things.. the bangs are based off my hairstyle in middle school and early highschool, which was when she was my main 'sona. Inspirations also come from fjord horses/ponies, Kanna from Fire Emblem: Fates, and Gasai Yuno from Mirai Nikki! ^^
Her eyes have always been crimson red, and unlike my main kitsune sona's red eyes, stay in the red/almost-pink-ish spectrum and don't have a fiery orange tinge. <:
She's also always had an extra long, almost fox-like tail, which nowadays can be seen as a possible additional reason behind her name. CX Red wolves in general are reputed to be "fox-like" wolves, with their ruddy colors and narrow frame, so there.
