Devilish Ressurection

With the recent plot leak for Toho's upcoming film involving two Godzillas, I thought it was fitting to share the second Godzilla of the Codagoji verse.

Nearing the end of this project, all monsters have been dealt with minus a select few. Kong remains within the Hollow Earth, Gamera is off-world to prevent a Space Gyaos infestation, and any JSDF weapons/mechs are either destroyed or labeled out of commission. It leaves Godzilla as the sole survivor of Earth's overworld, but not without its consequences.

A mad scientist, in a long endeavor known as Project: Ragnarok, is desperate to destroy the monster for all time and purge the planet of its greatest mistake. He decides with the bright idea to create his own Godzilla using the DNA of several powerful kaiju now long dead. The result is a grotesque monstrosity more unstable and powerful than the doctor could have ever hoped for.

I took notes from Shin's design with the fleshy textures, but didn't want it to lose any sense of malevolence. Dubbed RagnaGoji, this clone leaks with radioactivity moreso than his predecessor and the foreign hodgepodge of cells only advances the decay, to the point of nuclear meltdown.

Truly, Godzilla's greatest enemy is himself.
