Kaijune Day 3: Brood (didnt have any viable cobtent for day 1 and 2)

An in-depth look at the three different life cycles leading up to Queen for the Malzinochi. Drones and Soldiers do most of the heavy lifting for the Hive, absorbing the souls of any life forms they come across and storing it back in their burrows for later use. Entire legions of these insectoid behemoths have been known to sweep the countryside and turn any small population centers into ghost towns. The Matriarchs only number a few, but function similarly in that their primary target are other kaiju.

Once enough souls are collected to initiate a metamorphosis, the Matriarchs fight over who gets to absorb it. The winner and last remaining individual not only absorbs all the souls, but some of the Soldiers and Drones also assimilate into her being as she transforms into a Queen Malzinochi.
