Following with the next step in Cicatrix evolution is the Apex Cicatrix. When a lucky drone survives cannibalism, starvation, and death for a long enough timeframe, it begins a final transformation. This transformation is the success of reaching the adult stage. Once an individual becomes an Apex Cicatrix, it is given higher responsibilities within the brood, acting as muscle for the construction of future Daemorhast structures, such as a nest, a throne for the patriarch, and a chamber to hold captive prey. The Apex Cicatrix also partake in the violent destruction of worlds, iconic for attacking the W.H.A's head on. Like their smaller counterpart, the Apex's can mutate their bodies on demand to help with certain situations. As the examples show, they can grow leathery wings for quick flight, and rip their arms in half to form 4 individual limbs.
