Old Mercy was murderous, obsessive, manipulative, controlling, and bubbly. Essentially, a yangire with a highly concerning brother complex.
New Mercy is still bubbly, but also protective, loyal, thrill-seeking, and decisive! She loves her taser and knows self-defense. Still has a brother complex, but now it's at a non-creepy level!
