Rolled a 5: You get lost and can't find the carnival!
There had been no luck finding the charm or prizes where Enhcara’s booth had been. So, having loaded everything up, and getting it latched somewhere it’d go with the others (even if unnoticed) she decided to search elsewhere outside of the carnival for her charm. From a few past experiences with the business-cat, Enhcara had figured out lost things of interest tended to find their way to Mittens. It was a bit of a hit or miss when searching for the feline, for she tended to find who she wanted to do business with, rather than being found. Of course, there was her ‘shop’, which was more of a storage shed for her wares than anything else, but it was still a place to go when looking for the owner. “But… to go there I’d have to find it… and all I know is the forest it’s in.” Enhcara muttered to herself, sighing. Better to try then not. “still…” she wasn’t the most welcome by some about permanent occupants there. Even so, it was her best chance. And such, she wandered off back to a place she’d stayed before.
The paths had changed, but there was a sense of nostalgia. Said nostalgia was accompanied by a caution of what may come along her path. She didn’t want to fight them again. She was also wary of the traps… so they still hunted with rope. “I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. They were both pretty stubborn.” Enhcara spoke aloud, thinking no one was around. Thinking she’d found a path she recognized, she followed it, but when she knew why she recognized it, it was too late. She really was a stranger to these woods now. The hiss emitted had her step back, hands up to show no ill-intent. “uh, hey…again… look, I was just looking for Mittens. Anyways, I haven’t done anything to you. So if you don’t mind…” it was just the younger one. She couldn’t see the older one, but she could smell he was near. This wasn’t the best situation at all…
“haven’t done anything my tail. NONE of you are good. You just… you’re the worst kind of predator! Taking advantage of the weakest ones…”
“Hey! Look, that’s not me. I can’t help what my brethren do! Just… I’ll be on my way, okay?” the orange tailed brunet naga was stooped haggardly, right infront of the cave. His face was dark. And something about his curled fingers was so unnerving. Enhcara took another step back. Out of the corner of her eye she saw the green tailed older brother, his yellow hair popping against the tree he was hanging a trap on. She saw the shadow in his eyes and swallowed, inhaled sharply, then bolted. She didn’t want to fight. Not today, she couldn’t take long or else she’d get left behind by the carnival. She looked back. He wasn’t giving chase so that was good. “aaiieee-“ she squealed as one of her legs got caught in the very traps the spiders had set. “crap crap crap…” she’s definitely not going to return in time to catch the carnival as it goes. By time she reached where they were, everyone was gone. “craaaaaap…”
